Joint ISNH/ISRP International Conference 2014 : Harnessing the Ecology and Physiology of Herbivores

The Joint ISNH / ISRP International Conference 2014 - Harnessing the Ecology and Physiology of Herbivores will be held in Canberra, Australia, 8 ? 12 September 2014 National Convention Centre, www.herbivores2014.com

Preliminary Program Information

The theme of "Harnessing the Ecology and Physiology of Herbivores" has the following sub-themes:

  • Maintaining our environment in the face of increased demand for food: Adaptation to and mitigation of climate change.
  • Energy and energetic efficiency: Alternative feed and energy sources from plants.
  • Enhanced animal health and food safety.
  • Healthier food for a hungry world: Enhancing the quality of food from herbivores.
  • The science behind animal welfare: Healthier animals in a hungry world.
  • Gestational nutrition

The program committee is working hard to identify key speakers and experts in each of these fields and will have further updates in the new year.

Scientific Program Key Dates

Call for Manuscript/Abstracts

Similarly to the previous ISNH and ISRP meetings and in line with the ASAP conference, the manuscripts submitted by the invited speakers and delegates of the joint 2014 ISNH/ISRP conference will be published in Animal Production Science.
Please note that submitting a manuscript does not guarantee acceptance of the work for publication, however if your submitted manuscript is not accepted for publication in Animal Production Science and you want it be considered for publication in the conference proceedings (Animal Production in Australia), please notify the ISNH/ISRP organising committee upon receiving the notification of decision from Animal Production Science.

The scientific program will be developed over the coming months. If you are interested in submitting an abstract for ISNH / ISRP 2014, please take note of the following key dates:

Open Abstracts 1 July 2013
Close Abstracts 1 December 2013
Notification to Authors 28 February 2014
Presenter Registration 17 March 2014
